Hello again. I have refrained from posting so far. Well, I just cant help myself anymore. After many months of ‘ current events’, it seems we are coming full circle. I was reading on the news a day or two ago where the Nazi attack on Poland was considered the beginning of ww2. That was in 1939. it took 5 years and untold numbers of lives to stop that. Now it seems we are headed down the same road. Only now its Russia trying to take over the Ukraine.
Russia has blamed NATO for this but we all know the truth. Vladimir Putin has gone as far as to compare himself to Peter the Great, and probably believes he is the one to reassemble the greatest Empire to ever be,
Only problem is Peters rule and conquest happened 300 years. Times were very different. The world was in the middle of a ‘mini ice age’. People were more concerned with day to day living and much less likely to oppose an occupying force. As well as people were more accustomed to having kings and such. These days everybody is used to thinking for themselves.
The Bucharest Memorandum. In this document 3 countries agreed to protect and respect the Ukraine.
‘In the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, the United States, Russia, and Britain committed βto respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraineβ and βto refrain from the threat or use of forceβ against the country. Now we find one of the countries unwilling to do that.
It seems that it is inconvenient for them to respect the Ukraine. I find it funny that after the other day when the polish official said ‘we should return the nuclear weapons to the Ukraine ‘ the first thing the Russian ambassador said was ‘we cant do that’
Now I have to ask you. The reader.
Why would an honorable Russian official say something like that ?
I’m willing to bet the end game haven’t even begun to play out yet.!
I would bet that Putin has a plan to draw half the world into a great big battle over land and use the war to ” draw down resources from everybody else”. All the while betting everything the Russian people have that he is the last one standing and afterwards he will be able to just waltz in and take everything left for himself. Literally, for himself. Because, after a 3rd world war nobody will have an fight left in them to stop him.
